Defender on Twisted Customs tubular chassis: Update 4

Next on the to do list was to make the center console and body panels.

Below some pictures from the front end panels , the rear tray  and seat box panels installed. The snorkel will come out at the rear, so a custom Stainless Steel tube is TIG welded to give the LS the necessary air!

Next step is to finish all the body panels, then take the whole vehicle apart to be able to paint everything.

Yet another update on the Defender:

Below some random pictures from the fuel system, custom seat base, the D&G Defender Dashboard which is installed and the transfer case with PTO exit!

The car is now ready to get its body panels,  which you will be able to see in the next update!

More news from the Defender!

The protect the vehicle as much as possible when driving in between trees, etc. the Defender gets a tubular nose!

To make it easier to turn the big 38,5″x15″ Super Swamper Boggers in technical sections, hydraulic steering has been added.  A single ended ram has been installed together with a HOWE steering pump, reservoir and oil cooler to get the best possible performance!

On below pictures you can see how the Spidertrax Spider 9 axles with True Hi9 Ford 9″ diff and 4340 axle shafts, together with the 4 link suspension and 2″ Fox Coil over shox are installed!

To win as much space as possible, a custom made fuel reservoir is created that fits in between the rear bulkhead and the rollcage hoop! A 2nd reservoir is also installed underneath the passenger seat. Underneath the driver seat, the batteries are placed on a custom tray.

Check this out!

Another creation from D&G 4×4 Tuning, a Land Rover defender with a Twisted Customs tubular chassis, spidertrax axles, 4 link suspension front and rear, coilover shox, 5.3 LS V8 engine etc etc.

Start of the chassis built, everything done in house @ D&G 4×4 Tuning. The orignial Land Rover pick-up cabin will be used, to get give the “buggy” the real Defender look!

The 5.3 LS V8 Engine is mounted as for to the back of the vehicle as possible to keep the vehicle as balanced as can be!

The rear will be a custom made “tray”!
