Again an update on our tomcat project!

This LS powered racing monster is getting closer to its first time out!

In the meanwhile we worked hard on it, all the welding is done, cabel loom for the engine is finished together with the waterproof display box with all the switches, gauges and fuses. All the brackets for the bodypanels, seats etc are also finished.

As you can see the Tomcat will have a huge ATL FIA approved fuelcell with a capacity of 170l!

Now we are rebuilding the vehicle unpaited to get it to Scruteneering for the Dutch offroad racing championship. After that it will get its first test, then it will be taken apart again to get it painted!

Next few days/weeks you will find a lot more updates on this projects on this Blog, so stay tuned!

New Project: Tomcat 6l LS2 V8 on Spider 9’s

After finishing the yellow buggy on portals we’re already working on the next project!

This project will be pretty different than what we did with the last few trucks. Instead of using the Twisted Customs chassis or our own Taurus chassis, our customer has chosen for a Tomcat chassis which is Land Rover based.

The Tomcat will be powered by an LS2 V8 with 490bhp and 680 Nm torque with a TH350 gearbox and a 2 speed Atlas transfer case. With this huge amount of power the land rover axles are replaced by the Spidertrax Spider 9 axles with Hi9 differentials!

As the tomcat will be mainly used for speed events it will be running small 35″ BF Goodrich MT KR tires, especially designed for speed events on the new STAUN racing TX wheels with staun internal beadlocks!
Off course the suspension on this a racer is very important, so it has Radflo 2″ coilovers and triple bypass shocks on each corner which will make the tomcat very stable on high speed!

A huge 170l ATL FIA Approved fuel cell will be placed in the back, to be able to do long speed races.

First pictures on the built so far can be found below. Further updates on this unique racer will follow very soon!!
